This is a field-based, KPI-driven sales role. As a Sales Executive, you'll be out on the road every day, driving a manual company van stocked with products and visiting independent and convenience stores across your territory. Your job is to sell the stock you are carrying directly into stores, grow the range of products they stock and identify every opportunity to increase sales and visibility. You'll have clear sales targets and KPIs to achieve, which contribute towards your quarterly bonus, so you'll need to be motivated by results and enjoy the challenge of making a sale. You'll also spend approximately one day per month working at a Cash & Carry activation, engaging with retailers and driving sales.

What will you be doing?

  • You'll visit retailers including Premier, Londis, SPAR, Best-one and independent convenience stores, as well as wholesale depots such as Bestway.
  • Over 90% of the stores you visit will already stock some of our products.
  • Your role is to build on this by:
    • Selling additional products and stock directly into retailers
    • Growing the number and range of products stocked in each store
    • Working towards clearly defined sales KPIs and targets
    • Identifying sales opportunities and confidently asking for the sale
    • Merchandising products and increasing their visibility in store
    • Building strong relationships with store owners and key decision-makers
    • Managing your own stock and driving a manual company van throughout your territory
    • Taking ownership of your territory and using data to identify opportunities for growth
    • Attending a Cash & Carry activation approximately once per month

Who are we looking for?

Sales experience isn't essential. We're much more interested in your attitude, energy and willingness to learn. We welcome applications from people with customer-facing experience, graduates, FMCG or grocery retail backgrounds, previous convenience sales experience, or anyone who is keen to develop a career in field sales.

You'd enjoy this role if:

  • You enjoy speaking to different people and aren't afraid to ask for the sale
  • You're motivated by targets, KPIs and achieving results
  • You have energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • You're comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your day
  • You enjoy building relationships with customers
  • You're willing to learn and develop your sales skills
  • You're happy driving between multiple convenience stores throughout the day
  • You're comfortable driving a manual van carrying stock
  • You hold a full UK driving licence that allows you to drive a manual vehicle

Why work for us?

  • Salary: £28,121.60 plus 10% bonus
  • Company manual van and fuel card
  • Pension Plan: Helping you plan for your future
  • Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing by one day for each year of service up to 25 days
  • Life Assurance: 1x life assurance
  • Peppy: Confidential access to expert health support across areas including fertility, menopause and pregnancy
  • DIGICARE+ App: Access to medical second opinions, personalised counselling sessions and expert nutritionist advice
