We’re in the process of growing our workforce to help us build stronger stock levels across our network. As such we have an opportunity for an experienced Yard Operative / Shunter with mobile plant experience to join our busy team in Pollington.
So, what\’s the mission?
You will load and unload products in the Yard, using mobile plant equipment including Loading shovel, a shunter and various power mount attachments. If you have a class 1 HGV licence this will also be useful as you will also be trained to use our shunter trucks to move product around the site. We work in an environment where safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets are the norm so you will need to share these values!
Please note the experience of using mobile plant equipment is essential for this role and it will only be limited use of driving Forklift Truck.
You\’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and overtime is available at the company’s request on Saturday and Sunday. We require you to be flexible on the shift pattern and overtime as requirements may change during your contract.
What are the mission-critical skills?
- Previous experience or understanding of working within mobile plant equipment
- Telehandler and/or loading shovel license is desirable
- An FLT Licence and previous experience operating a forklift truck
- Experiencing working in areas where workplace transport health and safety is practised
- Excellent teamwork skills within a busy environment
- Good communication skills
- A class 1 HGV licence
