What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring teams operate in line with site safety standards, policies, and legal requirements
  • Lead and support risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Actively contribute to incident prevention, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
  • Maintain and improve our health & safety management systems (aligned with ISO 45001)
  • Deliver toolbox talks, support training programmes, and provide day-to-day safety guidance to shift teams
  • Work closely with maintenance and manufacturing teams to reduce hazards and ensure safe working practices
  • Support environmental compliance, including site waste management and adherence to permits
  • Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and contractors as required

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong experience in a manufacturing, quarrying, or industrial environment
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Experience leading or supporting audits, inspections, and investigations
  • Confidence in engaging employees at all levels, especially in high-paced, operational settings
  • Solid understanding of accident prevention techniques and safety improvement initiatives
  • Root cause analysis (RCA), 5 Whys, or other H&S problem-solving tools experience is a plus

Why Join Marshalls?

  • 26 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday working hours
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Annual pay reviews as you develop into the role
  • Health care cash plan – dental, optical, prescriptions & more
  • Free onsite parking
