What’s the job about?
- Lead the site engineering teams to deliver engineering and production plans, service levels, and strategies within quality, safety, and cost parameters.
- Implement and drive engineering strategies to improve reliability, quality, safety, and asset utilization.
- Apply best practice maintenance principles for SHE, capital projects, and asset care.
- Manage engineering systems, structures, resources, and processes.
- Assist in planning manufacturing assets and maintenance proactively.
- Oversee the engineering stores system to ensure critical spares availability and stock control.
- Deliver engineering KPIs aligned with manufacturing performance and company objectives.
- Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach and develop direct reports, monitoring performance and supporting personal development.
- Manage projects and lead change initiatives.
- Act as deputy for the Engineering Manager.
What skills are you going to bring to the team?
- Engineering qualifications (apprenticeship or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading engineering teams.
- IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience with CMMS and stock control systems.
- Proficiency with engineering KPIs and performance metrics.
- Project management and change leadership experience (desired).
- Knowledge of OEE and lean manufacturing techniques (preferred).
