Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer

We are always looking towards the future and into ways to improve our processes and outputs. We rely on our colleagues and teams to identify how this can be done, with this in mind we are recruiting an experienced Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our Keele site.

What\’s the mission?
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of all site equipment and machinery. You will work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. You\’ll need to be electrically biased and able to commute to our Keele site daily.

You will be working a Continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern, (06:30 am – 6:30 pm and 6:30 pm – 06:30 am).

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Excellent electrical engineering skills with mechanical experience is essential.
  • Apprentice trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in an Engineering discipline preferred.
  • JIB 18th edition qualified.
  • Execute PPM and provide input into systems & process improvements.
  • PLC fault finding and diagnostic skills (programming experience would be an advantage).
  • Support/provide input into feasibility studies, CAPEX & CI projects.
  • Be a team player with an attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of current environmental, health and safety regulations & requirements.
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Computer literate with excellent communication skills.
