CPM Engineering is now looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hands-on Electro Mechanical Bench Fitter to join our growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical engineering, fault-finding and mechanical repair, and who wants to develop their skills and build a long-term career within a successful engineering business.
As an Electromechanical Bench Fitter, you will carry out a wide range of hands-on repair, refurbishment of rotating electro- mechanical assets. You will be involved in diagnosing faults, dismantling and inspecting equipment, measuring component wear, repairing, or replacing components and accurately reassembling machinery. The role offers excellent variety, with work carried out both within our Manchester workshop and occasionally at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities of the Electro Mechanical Bench Fitter role:
- Electro-mechanical repair and refurbishment work both within the workshop and on customer sites
- Diagnose and identify mechanical and electro-mechanical faults
- Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble equipment
- Measure component wear using micrometers, verniers, calipers and other measuring equipment
- Remove and fit precision components and work accurately to limits, fits and tolerances.
- Carry out general bench fitting and mechanical fitting duties
