CPM Engineering is now looking for an experienced Mechanical Turner / Manual Machinist to join our skilled and dynamic workshop team in Manchester.
This is a hands-on manual machining position, ideal for someone who enjoys working with traditional engineering machinery, producing high-quality components, and tackling a variety of repair and machining challenges.
As a Mechanical Turner / Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for accurately machining components from engineering drawings, samples and patterns.
You will need a strong understanding of engineering measurements, tolerances, limits and fits, together with a commitment to producing work to a high standard.
The role will involve a variety of machining and repair work, so flexibility, practical problem-solving skills and a willingness to occasionally work on customer sites are important.
