An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring compliance with quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence across the business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the Quality Management System, supporting new product introduction, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality function in maintaining compliance with recognised standards including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 through internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including Quality Plans, Inspection Instructions, Process Routes, and Calibration Procedures
  • Perform and support incoming inspection of raw materials, ensuring adherence to specifications
  • Manage supplier non-conformances, including rejection processes and corrective action closure
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through development of process flows, quality plans, and inspection programmes
  • Maintain and improve FAI and PPAP processes to ensure product validation and process capability
  • Support calibration activities, including internal calibration of measurement equipment
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g. 8D, root cause analysis)

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment within the last 3 years
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001
  • Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Experience with FAI and/or PPAP
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
