Cpl is working with a global software company, a leader in design and engineering technology.

About the Role

12-month contract | Fully remote (UK) | c. £40,000 | Start ASAP.

Cpl is working with a global software company, a leader in design and engineering technology, to recruit a Procurement Programme Manager.

This is a 12-month maternity cover role in their Purchasing Programmes & Operations team. The company is actively acquiring businesses. Each acquisition brings a set of suppliers that need to be assessed and then kept, moved onto company processes or retired, without disrupting payments, compliance or the business. You will run that work, coordinating across Sourcing, Finance, Legal, Privacy and Security and the acquired companies themselves. This role suits someone from procurement operations, supplier management or indirect sourcing who wants hands-on M&A experience at a global tech company.

Responsibilities

  • Managing supplier integration across several acquisitions at once, from post-close assessment through to onboarding, migration or exit
  • Prioritising suppliers by renewal and notice dates, spend, business criticality and risk, so that nothing lapses or renews by accident
  • Coordinating supplier onboarding, contracting, data protection agreements and security reviews with Legal, Privacy and Security teams
  • Moving supplier payments from legacy processes onto company POs and approved payment methods, working with Finance and Accounts Payable
  • Running integration calls, keeping action logs up to date and escalating blockers or decisions in good time
  • Keeping integration data accurate in Airtable and Excel, and producing weekly status and risk updates for leadership
  • Spotting opportunities to consolidate suppliers, cut duplicate spend and avoid unnecessary renewals
  • Improving the M&A integration playbook, including using AI and automation to cut out manual work

Required Skills

  • Experience in procurement, supplier management, vendor management or procurement operations, ideally in an indirect, IT or SaaS environment
  • A solid practical understanding of supplier onboarding, contracts, purchase orders and payment processes
  • Experience managing several workstreams with competing deadlines and seeing actions through to completion
  • The ability to influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority
  • Strong Excel and data skills; experience with SAP Ariba, Airtable or similar tools is a plus
  • Comfort working with incomplete information and creating structure where there isn’t any

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to M&A, post-merger integration or large supplier transition projects
  • Experience with data protection agreements or third-party risk and security reviews
  • A project management qualification, or experience using automation or AI tools in your work
  • M&A experience is a bonus, not a requirement. If you have strong procurement and programme skills and want to move into integration work, we’d like to hear from you.

Pay range and compensation package
