Cpl Life Sciences is partnering with a leading organisation in the clinical nutrition space to recruit a Healthcare Development Manager. This field-based role offers the opportunity to work with a mission-driven, market-leading business that is committed to improving patient outcomes and building a more sustainable future.
Our client is a certified B-Corp with a clearly defined impact journey. Their UK clinical nutrition division is well established as a trusted voice within healthcare, using strong clinical expertise to embed medical nutrition as a core component of patient care.
The Role
The Healthcare Development Manager will play a key role in accelerating growth across a paediatric nutrition portfolio. Acting as a strategic resource, you will drive early engagement, secure adoption within Primary Care, and support the rapid implementation of guidelines. Working closely with the sales team, you will build trusted partnerships across the NHS and wider healthcare economy to protect and grow market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional strategies aligned to the national business plan
- Lead formulary and guideline negotiations with key external stakeholders
- Identify underperforming areas and create targeted strategies to increase market share, working in close collaboration with sales colleagues
- Navigate NHS funding flows and decision-making processes across Primary and Secondary Care to support positive outcomes for paediatric products
- Identify, profile, and develop Key Opinion Leaders and advocates
- Proactively identify opportunities and risks to the portfolio, proposing innovative solutions to drive growth
- Deliver creative, value-driven projects to overcome prescribing barriers and unlock new opportunities
This is a field-based role covering Scotland, North East England, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and the East Midlands.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A proven track record in account management or healthcare business development, ideally within medical nutrition, pharmaceuticals, or a related sector
- Strong understanding of NHS structures including ICs, PCNs, Health Boards, funding flows, formularies, and guideline processes
- Experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including Dietitians, Paediatricians, GPs, medicines management teams, commissioners, and budget holders
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse data and build effective business plans
- A collaborative, adaptable approach with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
