CPL Recruitment are working with a highly respected plant machinery dealership to support their search for a high-performing National Sales Manager to take ownership of a specialist product range including loading shovels and material handlers, complemented by a broader construction equipment portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in growing market share across both regional and national accounts, backed by strong internal support teams and an established customer base within the industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving sales growth through proactive business development, networking, and prospecting
  • Identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities
  • Building and managing long-term relationships with key customers across the waste & recycling sector
  • Leveraging existing industry connections while opening new markets
  • Preparing and following up on customer quotations and proposals
  • Working closely with internal teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing your pipeline effectively
  • Supporting product demonstrations to help win new business
  • Achieving and exceeding sales and profitability targets

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven success in field-based sales within one or more of the following:
  • Construction or plant equipment
  • HGV or heavy machinery
  • Waste & recycling solutions
  • Related products (attachments, shredders, bodies, etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to close high-value deals
  • Existing industry network (highly desirable)
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with wider business goals
