The Materials Coordinator role has the responsibility to manage the movement of materials within Production in line with the production schedule, at the EML Production facility in Hatfield.
General Responsibilities (Safety, Quality, Customer, Cost & Innovation)
- To ensure that operations conducted are performed in accordance with the requirements of company Corporate Standards, Quality System, GMP and GDP Guidelines and Industry Standards.
- A safe working environment is maintained for self and other employees, ensuring all near miss incidents and accidents are reported in accordance with procedures.
- The Quality of products produced and released is assured through adherence to all procedures.
- Opportunities to improve operations and reduce cost are identified and progressed through the continuous improvement and demand innovation initiatives.

Working relationships of this position
- All Production Operation departments (Manufacturing and Packaging).
- Warehouse to ensure communication on movement of materials.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Systems to ensure all activities are conducted compliantly and the product meets appropriate quality standards.
- To ensure compliance to Eisai’s policies working relationships are required with People Team and Health & Safety departments.
- Technical Departments, to support management of materials for technical activities.
- Engineering to support management of materials for engineering activities.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Movement of materials between warehouse and production to ensure all materials are available as required, and in line with product storage conditions.
- Use of SAP for material movement transactions.
- Stock checking of Production storage areas.
- Checking the quality standards of packaging components, prior to use on the line.
- Management of Production waste.
- Recording appropriate metrics to monitor adherence to production schedules and adherence to SOP and training schedules.
- Responsible for compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices in areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for compliance to health and safety procedures in areas of responsibility.
- Support Engineering and Technical activities by ensuring materials are available.
- Conduct manual packaging operations.
- Basic packaging activities if required.
- Carry out Production Facility Cleaning and Sink and Drain Disinfection.
- Support cleaning of equipment.
- Participate in quality investigations.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities that result in cost savings and more efficient and compliant ways of working.
Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience working within manufacturing and packaging environments – Desirable
- Practical experience working within warehouse environments – Desirable
- Experience with SAP – Desirable
- VNA License – Optional
