An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic engineering environment. This role is focused on driving new product introduction from concept through to production, ensuring robust processes, seamless cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product development from initial concept through to full production release
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions
- Manage prototype builds and first article validation
- Act as a key interface between Design, R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Provide manufacturing input during design reviews
- Investigate and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving methods
- Coordinate containment activities to minimise impact on production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework, waste, and variability
Requirements
- Degree in an engineering related subject
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, assembly, vehicle wiring, and vehicle electronics
- Experience using CAD and PDM systems (SolidWorks and Pulse PDM advantageous)
