An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing company. This role is focused on ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through a combination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on production and converting machinery
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and perform effective fault diagnosis to minimise downtime
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe systems of work, including the use of appropriate PPE
- Support machine upgrades, equipment improvements, and engineering projects
- Manage maintenance stores inventory and maintain minimum stock levels through company systems
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational performance
Requirements
- Completed an Electrical Apprenticeship with an ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience within a manufacturing or multi-batch production environment
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience with a strong electrical bias
- Proven knowledge of COSHH and relevant Health & Safety regulations
- Strong fault-finding, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
