Our client is a well-established international manufacturer and technology company with a strong presence in the electrical and energy solutions sector.

As part of its continued expansion across Europe, the company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and channel development within the UK energy storage market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation with significant investment in innovation, product development, and international market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline for the UK market, including lead generation, prospect qualification, and account prioritisation.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers across distributors, channel partners, installers, and strategic customers.
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, product presentations, and commercial discussions to promote the company's residential energy storage solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and customer onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, sample shipments, and proof-of-concept opportunities to support customer acquisition.
  • Drive conversion from prospect to customer through regular follow-up, relationship management, and objection handling.
  • Secure initial business and develop long‑term customer relationships that generate repeat orders and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Monitor order progress, delivery schedules, and ongoing channel partner performance to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to support business strategy and product development.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in business development, channel sales, or account management within the energy storage, renewable energy, electrical products, or related technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of residential energy storage systems, battery technologies, and associated market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and developing new business opportunities, including onboarding major customers and building strategic industry relationships.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a broad territory and customer portfolio.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Permanent right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Fluent English language skills for professional business communication.
  • Chinese language capability is highly desirable due to collaboration with international teams and headquarters.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant sales or business development experience within the energy storage industry.
  • Track record of winning new business and developing key customer accounts.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
