Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for a Building Control Technical Support Officer on a temporary full time basis, with a starting salary of £18.85 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of an efficient, effective and equitable Building Control service, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and related legislation.
- Assist with plan assessments, site inspections and enforcement activities to ensure statutory and functional requirements are met.
- Manage and prioritise workloads to meet agreed performance targets and service standards.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to builders, developers, agents and the public on building control, technical and energy matters.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, building practices and sustainability requirements, applying this knowledge in service delivery.
- Contribute to service development, continuous improvement initiatives, staff training and project teams.
- Support sustainability, climate change and carbon reduction objectives, working with colleagues to promote best practice across services.
- Deliver high standards of customer care, promote equality and health & safety compliance, and build effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A third level qualification in a relevant building/environmental subject.
- One years previous experience in construction with knowledge and application of building regulations.
- Experience working with drawings and specifications in accordance with building regulations.
- Membership of an appropriate building/environmental related Professional Institute or Association.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
