We’re supporting a leading FMCG manufacturing site in Hampshire who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with experienced Maintenance Engineers as part of ongoing production and reliability improvement activity.
This is a site-based role supporting high-volume manufacturing operations, ensuring production equipment is maintained, repaired and improved in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to equipment breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with OEM recommendations and site standards
- Support production teams to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime
- Maintain equipment throughout its lifecycle, ensuring reliability, safety and compliance
- Work closely with production, engineering and support teams to improve equipment performance and site KPIs
- Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives across the site
- Assist with engineering projects, equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Carry out changeovers, set-ups and support production as required
- Promote and maintain safe systems of work in line with GMP, safety and compliance standards
- Share knowledge and support coaching and development of other team members
- Maintain strong working relationships across production, quality and engineering functions
- Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias preferred)
- Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or similar high-volume manufacturing
- Strong fault-finding ability on automated production equipment
- Experience with PPM, breakdown response and continuous improvement
- Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with shift-based operations
