CPL Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with our client for a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent full-time basis, based in Co. Tyrone.
Our client is a multiple award-winning business with over 40 years in construction, delivering medium and large-scale developments to public and private sector clients across the Island of Ireland and the UK.
The role involves:
- Working side-by-side with the wider Commercial team, playing a vital role in delivering value for money projects and quality to clients.
- Negotiating and appointing subcontractors to schemes, managing subcontractor packages from appointment through to final account.
- Building positive and close working relationships with Contract Managers and Site Teams, delivering quality projects and working on the submission of valuations and variations on schemes.
- Carrying out site visits, viewing quality, works completed and management of costs.
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures along with accurate management of IMS systems.
The person should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Sound working knowledge of construction contracts such as NEC/PWC/JCT.
- Skilled negotiation abilities with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to work on their own initiative, plan and prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- A full driving licence.
