An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and deliver a range of building structures projects within a consultancy environment. This role combines hands-on design responsibility with full project management ownership, client engagement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design of projects across a range of building types and materials
  • Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and structural models
  • Check designs and drawings for accuracy, compliance, and quality, recommending improvements where required
  • Manage and coordinate project resources in collaboration with senior engineering leadership
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other consultants
  • Attend and contribute to project and design team meetings
  • Deliver projects in line with agreed timescales, budgets, and scope
  • Identify project risks and challenges, implementing mitigation measures and escalating issues where necessary
  • Prepare monthly project workload updates, fee forecasts, and financial reports
