An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the performance and reliability of production equipment within a high-volume medical manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring equipment operates efficiently while meeting quality, safety, and output targets.
The successful candidate will work as part of a site-based engineering team, carrying out maintenance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain production equipment to maximise quality, output, and yield
- Troubleshoot production line issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Carry out preventative maintenance activities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
- Complete all documentation in line with GDP (Good Documentation Practice) standards
- Support and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Assist with commissioning and validation of new production equipment
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts
- Support training and development of fellow technicians
- Participate in occasional travel for training, site visits, or equipment assessments
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety regulations
- NFQ Level 6 qualification in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar) or relevant trade qualification with industrial experience
- Strong mechanical and technical skillset
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC systems
- Experience within a regulated/GMP environment
- Flexibility to work shift patterns
