An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workplace & Facilities Specialist to join a people-focused organisation where workplace environment, safety and wellbeing are a priority. This part-time role plays a key part in creating a safe, inclusive and well-managed workplace, supporting colleagues across multiple sites. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with internal stakeholders and a range of external service providers to ensure facilities, health & safety, security and catering services are delivered to a high standard. You will also contribute to workplace and estate-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive day-to-day relationships with external partners delivering facilities, health & safety, security and catering services
- Support a high-quality, inclusive and accessible workplace experience for all colleagues
- Contribute to the effective and inclusive use of office space as part of ongoing workplace modernisation
- Assist with procurement activities, following agreed processes to ensure compliant and transparent practices
- Help maintain a safe, accessible and legally compliant working environment
- Support statutory fire safety, health & safety and building compliance requirements
- Assist with the development, implementation and review of workplace procedures and performance measures
- Contribute to Critical Environment Management requirements across operational areas such as control rooms, data centres and communications rooms
- Support workplace and estate-related projects in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers
- Support incident reporting, escalation and investigation processes
- Assist with preparation for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 surveillance audits
Requirements
- Experience in workplace facilities, health & safety or vendor management
- Background in service, operations or facilities management with a focus on process excellence
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including preparing presentations and reports
