An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects within the energy sector. This role is critical in enabling the development and enhancement of electricity network systems, supporting the transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transmission infrastructure projects through all stages of the planning and delivery lifecycle
- Support project delivery from initial development through to energisation and completion
- Define project scope, objectives, and delivery strategies alongside internal stakeholders
- Coordinate input from engineering, environmental, procurement, and commercial teams
- Support stakeholder and land engagement activities to secure required consents
- Prepare reports, business cases, and governance documentation
- Monitor project performance including cost, programme, quality, and risk
- Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating where required
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery practices
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, planning, environmental studies, or a related field
- 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
