CPL Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with our client for a Market Operator on a permanent full-time basis, based in Belfast with a salary up to £44,000 per year.
Our client is a leader in electricity infrastructure that puts their employees at the forefront of everything they do, with a commitment to effectively meet Northern Ireland's energy needs.
The role involves:
- Playing a key role in delivering a full range of work within the Market Operations team, monitoring and operating the trading desk.
- Upon completion of a 3-month training program, being licenced and certified to operate the electricity market auctions as part of the trading desk team.
- Completing specific tasks within pre-determined timelines and working closely with other team members to ensure appropriate support and backup is available within a fast-paced environment.
- Working closely with service providers to operate and verify results from the various wholesale markets, maintaining oversight of all market operations and auction activities during the auctions while liaising closely with stakeholders to resolve operational issues, typically to very tight deadlines.
The person should have:
- 3 years experience in a data and/or critical operational role.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Effective time management to achieve strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate level Excel skills.
- Experience using multiple systems at the same time and the ability to learn and operate various systems to monitor and troubleshoot process execution.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment.
- Able to work effectively within a team environment under time pressures with a flexible work approach.
- Strong skills in MS Office products and file management systems e.g. SharePoint.
