CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Mapping and Charting Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
- Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
- Hours – 37 hours per week
The successful candidates will form a project team to improve Pointer address quality.
Main Duties
- Development and maintenance of GIS applications including web mapping technologies.
- Creation and publication of OSNI web services for government and third-party users.
- Provision of customer support in a GIS environment.
- Creation and updating of map cached services.
- Management of INSPIRE web services
- Creation, editing and management of documentation relating to GIS services.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
- Experience of utilising GIS software, e.g. Esri ArcGIS Pro, Esri ArcMap, QGIS, MapInfo
Desired Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- Esri ArcGIS Enterprise including Portal, ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Pro;
- Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
