An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join a globally recognised and secure employer at their Belfast site. This role offers the chance to work on strategic projects, lead new product introduction, and drive continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of production lines, ensuring key KPIs are achieved
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) and process implementation activities
  • Conduct structured problem-solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, and manufacturing processes
  • Identify, procure, and coordinate installation of tooling, equipment, and capital projects
  • Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles throughout product development
  • Ensure accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing for product costing
  • Coordinate and implement complex engineering changes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing function

Requirements

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or APQP methodologies
  • Experience with assembly line processes and line balancing
  • Experience using 3D CAD software
