We are recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers to join children’s homes supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who understands children’s residential care and can provide young people with consistent, safe and nurturing support. You will become part of a committed residential team, helping young people develop confidence, independence and stability while working within clear care plans, routines and boundaries.
The role as a Residential Support Worker includes:
- Provide safe, consistent and child-centred support
- Build positive and professional relationships with young people
- Support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Help create a stable, structured and nurturing home environment
- Encourage independence, education and positive activities
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour-support strategies
- Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations
- Complete accurate daily notes, incident reports and handovers
- Support young people with appointments, activities and community access
- Work closely with colleagues
