Location: Greenford, West London We are working with a well-established provider of children's residential care to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager for one of their homes in Greenford. The home supports young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the provider has a strong reputation for putting stability, consistency and genuine relationships at the heart of its care. The role As Deputy Manager you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the home, deputising in their absence. You will: * Lead, supervise and develop a team of residential support workers and team leaders * Make sure care plans, risk assessments and placement plans are current and followed * Support the home to meet and exceed Ofsted standards and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 * Build positive working relationships with social workers, schools, families and external professionals * Take part in the on-call rota and lead by example on shift What we are looking for * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or working towards it, is a strong advantage * At least 2 years' experience in children's residential care, including time in a senior or supervisory role * Sound knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements * Confident in supervising staff and handling challenging situations calmly * Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply) and the right to work in the UK * [Full UK driving licence] What's on offer * Competitive salary * Training and progression to Registered Manager] * A supportive organisation that invests in its managers If you are an experienced Deputy Manager, or a Senior or Team Leader ready to step up, apply today or get in touch with Deborah at CPL Healthcare for a confidential conversation
