Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in achieving objectives and supporting the care of children and young people.
- Support and supervise a staff team to meet the needs of young people.
- Plan shifts, allocate resources, and ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and manage direct work with children and young people.
- Chair children’s meetings and facilitate consultations.
- Promote equal opportunities and challenge discriminatory practices.
Staff Management:
- Supervise staff, provide support, and manage duties.
- Plan and oversee staff shifts and duties.
- Offer 1:1 supervision and contribute to staff development.
- Support recruitment, induction, and retention of staff.
- Address staff performance issues and assist with management investigations.
General Duties:
- Ensure the implementation of care plans and maintain records.
- Assist with training and development for staff.
- Manage resources, including finances and company vehicles.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and compliance with procedures.
- Deputize for the Registered Manager when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Secondary education with good literacy and numeracy.
