We are launching a brand-new 4-bed children’s home in beautiful, rural Somerset – and we need a Registered Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and lead with heart and grit.
What You’ll Do
- Run the home day-to-day, shaping a positive, nurturing environment for young people
- Lead, develop, and motivate a dedicated staff team (approx. 9 team members)
- Deliver safe, person-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations
- Handle referrals, audits, reports, deadlines—and make it all look easy
- Be a visible, trusted leader both in the home and out in the community
What You’ll Need
- Min. 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including 1 year supervising staff
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted
- A positive, “let’s make this happen” attitude
- Driving licence, car with business insurance, and on-call availability
Benefits:
- Occupancy bonus: £175 per child after the first – that’s up to £525/month
- Ofsted bonuses: ÂŁ500 (Good), ÂŁ1,000 (Outstanding)
- ÂŁ2k car allowance + enhanced sick pay
- 22 days holiday (+ bank holidays)
- On-call pay: ÂŁ10 weekday, ÂŁ50 weekends
