Registered Manager – New Children’s Home (EBD/LD) – Chasetown (WS7)
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + performance bonus
An exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a brand-new 6-bed EBD/LD home in Chasetown (WS7). With no residents currently in place, this role offers a rare chance to build a service from the ground up, shape the culture, and embed outstanding practice from day one.

What we’re looking for
We require a strong, confident leader with real depth in compliance and regulations. You must bring the experience and credibility needed to register a new home and guide it through its first inspection.
Essential requirements:
- At least 6+ months experience working within an Ofsted-registered home
- Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections, able to provide URNs with inspection outcomes
- Robust understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and inspection frameworks
- Experience in opening, stabilising or turning around homes (desirable)
- Level 5 Leadership & Management (or close to completion)
- Strong safeguarding, placement planning, and risk assessment skills
Key responsibilities
- Register the home and drive it through pre-registration and initial inspection
- Recruit, develop and inspire a strong staff team
- Embed a trauma-informed, child-focused culture
- Establish robust systems around care plans, quality assurance and governance
- Lead on placement matching and work collaboratively with local authorities
- Ensure the home is safe, compliant, and fully ready for new residents
