The Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Therapy Assistant to join private client, supporting paediatric therapy provision within a primary school setting in London.
Details
This role involves working alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and school staff to support children with a range of developmental, sensory, and educational needs. You will assist in delivering therapy programmes and help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of therapy programmes under the supervision of qualified therapists
- Work directly with children within the classroom and school environment
- Assist with sensory, motor, communication, and functional activities
- Implement individual and group interventions as directed by therapists
- Monitor and record pupil progress and outcomes
- Prepare therapy resources and equipment
- Liaise effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers
- Maintain accurate records in line with service requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within education, healthcare, or SEN settings
- Understanding of child development and special educational needs desirable
- Ability to follow therapy programmes and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and child-centred approach
