Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist – Sponsorship offered

  • Deliver person‑centred occupational therapy for students with severe/profound learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Manage an independent caseload, assessing sensory, motor, seating, and daily living needs using formal and informal methods.
  • Plan, implement, review, and adapt interventions to support academic, social, and employment potential.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to ensure smooth transitions and integrated support.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and jointly set/review goals.
  • Recommend and facilitate access to specialist seating, toileting, and assistive equipment.
  • Provide staff training, coaching, and resources in sensory, motor, and functional support strategies.
  • Support positive behaviour management using a trauma‑informed and Positive Behaviour Support framework.
  • Maintain accurate case notes in line with HCPC/RCOT standards and measure intervention outcomes.
  • Supervise junior staff, engage in CPD, and attend relevant clinical networks.
