The purpose of this role is to support imaging research as part of a multidisciplinary imaging team involved in many different research projects. The post holder will perform radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic service in order to assist in the management of patients.
Responsibilities
- Participating in the provision of on-going programmes of clinical examinations, research studies and clinical trials involving MRI, CT and PET/CT scanning.
- Providing radiographic support to projects and becoming part of the research team.
- Taking on other roles such as development of quality control processes, data management, image analysis, protocol development, teaching plus more.
- Acting as part of the core team within the imaging research centre; taking on responsibilities with other centre activities (NHS support work, private patient scanning, design and delivery of training courses e.g. online MSc modules and other activities).
- Working between research sites and occasionally working flexible patterns to support "out of hours" scanning.
Qualifications
- Degree/ diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC Registration
- PVG Certification

- Ability to follow protocols and procedures
- Ability to deal with the patients, researchers and other facility staff in a respectful and professional manner

Pay range and compensation package
The salary for this post is £41,064 - £51,753 per annum and a 7% market pay supplement.
