We are working with a children’s residential provider who is looking to appoint a Registered Manager for a 4-bed EBD home in Chadwell Heath.
This role could suit either:
- A strong Deputy Manager stepping up. Salary likely to be around £45,000 – £50,000 plus incentives.
- An experienced Registered Manager. Salary likely to be around £65,000 – £70,000 plus incentives.
The client is open to considering a Deputy Manager who is ready for registration, provided they have strong children’s residential experience and are working towards, or already hold, their Level 5 qualification.
The home requires a confident, child-centred manager who can help establish strong routines, lead the staff team effectively and ensure the home is fully aligned with Ofsted expectations.
The role will involve:
- Managing a 4-bed children’s EBD residential home.
- Leading and developing the staff team, including Team Leaders and support staff.
- Creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment for young people.
- Driving quality, compliance and positive Ofsted outcomes.
- Supporting recruitment and team development as the home builds capacity.
- Working closely with senior management and external professionals.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience within children’s residential care, ideally EBD Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy Manager experience with readiness to step up.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, or working towards this.
- Good understanding of Ofsted, safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
