An experienced medical leader to join the senior management team of a leading independent healthcare provider, overseeing surgical services across two high-performing South Coast sites.
Position type: Part-Time (4β5 days per week) and flexible to provide balance of leadership and clinical duties.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to surgical services across the South Coast region, shaping clinical strategy and fostering a culture of professional excellence.
- Lead service transformation initiatives, drive quality improvement, and oversee governance objectives in partnership with the Regional Medical Director and wider leadership team.
- Mentor medical colleagues and support professional development across teams.
- Balance strategic leadership with direct patient care as part of a senior management role.
- Manage allocated leadership commitments: Leadership Commitment: 2 days per week dedicated to management and governance; Clinical Commitment: Additional clinical sessions available (up to 4β5 days FTE or 80%).
Contract Type: Permanent, with part-time or full-time equivalent options.
Location: South Coast region (multi-site remit).
Qualifications & Experience- GMC Specialist Registration.
- At least 5 years' experience at Consultant level (or equivalent).
- Proven leadership or management experience within the NHS or independent sector.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead across diverse teams and services.
- A track record of delivering high standards of care, quality improvement, and governance.
