Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join an amazing SEN school in Leeds, supporting children and young people with complex additional needs.
The role involves working within a specialist educational setting supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), Down's Syndrome, hearing and visual impairments, and autism. You will provide specialist assessment and intervention to support communication, interaction, and participation in learning.
Responsibilities- Manage a specialist paediatric caseload within a school setting
- Complete speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Support pupils with complex communication and social interaction needs
- Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to EHCPs and educational outcomes
- Support use of AAC and alternative communication strategies where appropriate
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
- HCPC registration
- Experience in paediatric speech and language therapy
- Knowledge of autism, SLD, sensory impairments, and complex communication needs
- Ability to work independently within educational settings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
