CPL\’s Health division are currently recruiting a graduate Occupational Therapist to work in a special school in Hampshire My client are a multi-professional therapy practice, providing specialist Therapy Services to children 0-18 years. Children present with a variety of diagnoses, including, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders, attachment and trauma difficulties, global developmental delay or neurological disorders They follow a 3 step approach – IDENTIFY: Following a comprehensive assessment package, will have identified the areas of strength and challenge for the child. EDUCATE: Now they know what impacts on this child\’s development, my client are equipped to share knowledge and educate everyone working with the child to ensure their unique needs are fully understood and supported. ACCELERATE: Within each therapeutic treatment package, a designated therapist will work with school, family and the child to provide personal therapy, individualised goals and specific activity programmes to ensure therapy addresses their unique needs and supports them to reach their full potential at a pace and intensity that is just right for them. This post will involve direct work with children and young people with Autism and other complex needs, as listed above. The purpose of the role is to support Therapists, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Physiotherapists in the provision and further development of high quality therapeutic work. The post holder will implement a range of therapy interventions under the guidance of the relevant Therapist. This will involve producing therapy resources.
