Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism? We are working with a specialist further education provider to recruit a dynamic and person-centred SLT to join their supportive multi-disciplinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people aged 16–25, helping them to reach their communication, educational, and independence goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver therapy to students with moderate to profound learning disabilities and autism
  • Provide support around AAC, communication, and eating & drinking needs
  • Contribute to EHCPs, staff training, and transition planning
  • Work collaboratively with families, education teams, and external agencies
  • Support the development of accessible communication environments
  • Deliver both individual and group interventions in a college setting
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Eligible for or current member of RCSLT
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, AAC, and eating/drinking challenges
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working across multi-disciplinary teams and educational settings
