Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care (EBD)

Ashford, Kent

Up to £48k p/a

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a team of Residential Care Workers. This is a hands-on leadership role ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding compliance, and the smooth running of the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support the residential care team
  • Oversee care planning and case management for young people
  • Ensure safeguarding, behaviour support, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing home environment
  • Liaise with families, local authorities, and other professionals
Candidate Profile
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience supervising or leading staff in a children’s residential setting
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, care planning, and Children’s Homes regulations
  • Strong relationship-building, calm under pressure, team-oriented
  • Flexible to work a rota, including accompanying young people to activities
