Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care (EBD)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a team of Residential Care Workers. This is a hands-on leadership role ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding compliance, and the smooth running of the home.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and support the residential care team
- Oversee care planning and case management for young people
- Ensure safeguarding, behaviour support, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain a safe, nurturing home environment
- Liaise with families, local authorities, and other professionals
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience supervising or leading staff in a children’s residential setting
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, care planning, and Children’s Homes regulations
- Strong relationship-building, calm under pressure, team-oriented
- Flexible to work a rota, including accompanying young people to activities
- 28–30 days holiday (including bank holidays)
