We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing biotech business developing advanced instrumentation platforms used across antibody discovery, cell line development and protein analysis. You’ll play a key role in building and integrating software that powers complex systems, working across both application-level development and instrument control.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Software Development
    • Design and develop data collection and analysis software (Python, TypeScript, Java)
    • Contribute to instrument control and data analysis software (C#)
    • Troubleshoot and debug embedded software (C++)
    • Build, test and release high-quality, reliable software
    • Work across both Windows and Linux environments
    • Work closely with engineers, project managers and wider teams to deliver software requirements
    • Support root cause analysis and implement improvements
    • Manage workload effectively and deliver to deadlines
    • Contribute to continuous improvement across systems and processes
  • Communication & Support
    • Act as a technical point of contact across teams
    • Support documentation, validation and training activities
    • Ensure software meets regulatory standards where required

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in software engineering
  • Strong experience with Python, TypeScript and Java
  • Solid experience with C#, XAML and MVVM
  • Experience with embedded software development (C++)
  • Proven track record delivering software across the full development lifecycle
  • Experience building applications for Windows and Linux
