Duration: 12 months

Pay rate: £33.33- 35.90 per hour

Responsible for strategic and executional marketing at category and local level. Works closely with the Category Marketing Manager and Marketing Executives / Interns to drive marketing execution and business performance. Responsible for brand strategy for selected brands under the leadership of the Category Marketing Manager. Expected to play a substantial role in the development and execution of the marketing plans for specific brands for which they are given responsibility and to ensure alignment to the larger category and business objectives. Will interact with key suppliers, including agencies and sit on cross-functional teams. Will work with the relevant marketing intern to ensure effective execution of marketing tasks.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

  • Understand local category strategies to interpret, adapt and translate into brand and execution plans for his/her brands, leading to business success.
  • Execute the roll out of UK and Ireland Marketing Campaigns to achieve Sales Targets, as guided by Category Marketing Manager.
  • Lead and develop omnichannel and traditional marketing executions and projects to meet marketing objectives. Responsible for deliverables and execution of such programs.
  • Define Omnichannel Marketing objectives and lead execution of tactics, ensuring digital is a central part of a fully functioning multi-channel execution.
  • Build metrics to track success and identify gaps versus planned outcomes. Adapt strategies and plans accordingly.
  • Partner on all the above with local species teams and cross functionally as appropriate.

Customer Insights Centricity:

  • Analyzes needs and requirements by interacting with customers, consumers, and sales teams, determining appropriate market research to determine customer needs and to identify competitive pricing.
  • Utilises relevant digital datapoints to ensure omnichannel activations are effective in driving business results.
  • Spends time in the field as needed to support Sales teams, meeting customers and consumers and gathering feedback on a first-hand basis. Develop a deep understanding of the customer and customer needs.
  • Manage brand and product pricing, exposure and price control for selected brands.
  • Develop and drive customer insights initiatives and acquire market intelligence.

Production and supply of compliant promotional materials:

  • Supply marketing communications (marcoms) items aligned with Global and Local platforms and directions. Design and supply items for local brands where and when required.
  • Work closely with internal personnel and external agencies involved in the production and final approval of all artwork, and to ensure compliance with all GPP requirements.
  • Act as Promotional Materials Owner and fulfil all roles relating to material approval and retirement in alignment with local Promotional Materials SOP.
  • As the Promotional Materials Owner, the holder of this role will fulfil the responsibilities set out in EGQS-D-005 – Promotional and Educational Materials.

Expenditure, Production & Sales Forecasting:

  • Manage Marketing Operational Expenditure (Opex) and resource allocation, as directed by Ruminant Marketing Manager.
  • Forecast product supply for products where brand responsibility is held.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key business partners.
  • Build positive relationships with relevant external bodies, such as KOLs, advertising agencies, key vendors etc.

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

  • Education/Experience: Degree level either life science or business qualification. MBA or professional marketing qualification desirable.
  • 3+ years marketing experience.
