We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join the AI & Data Security team, supporting a strategic AI Security Programme. This role is hands-on and advisory, focused on securing modern application and AI platforms while enabling teams to adopt AI technologies safely and effectively. You will act as a subject matter expert in application security, identity and access management, and AI security patterns, working across multiple teams to define standards, influence architecture decisions, and embed security-by-design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver application security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Design and implement secure architecture patterns for AI and application platforms.
- Provide hands-on security guidance for AI technologies including AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365, and other foundation model providers.
- Define and advise on model security, deployment patterns, guardrails, observability, evaluation techniques, and safe operationalisation of AI solutions.
- Translate platform-specific risks, limitations, and best practices into actionable engineering standards and governance controls.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, AI, and platform teams to embed security best practices across the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct regular security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
- Support and influence key architectural and security decisions across multiple teams.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance on application and AI security standards.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, AI risks, and industry trends, continuously improving security posture.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master-level proficiency in Application Security Assessment.
- Strong hands-on experience in application and cloud security.
- Proven ability to operate as a security subject matter expert across multiple teams.
- Experience influencing architecture and security decisions in complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Highly Desirable
- Expert proficiency in IAM Technical Architecture and Design.
- Strong experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and AI Agents.
- Understanding of AI model risks, guardrails, and secure deployment patterns.
