We are looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Lead to join a major public sector transformation programme. This role is suited to a delivery professional who has successfully led large-scale programmes, managed complex stakeholder environments, and taken accountability for delivery outcomes across multiple teams and workstreams. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual commitments whilst driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
As Senior Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a significant programme or portfolio of work. Working closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and client leadership, you will provide direction, governance and oversight to ensure successful outcomes across multiple workstreams. You will be expected to identify and mitigate risks, drive performance, improve delivery processes and ensure the highest standards of service quality throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful delivery of large-scale transformation programmes.
- Manage programme governance, reporting, planning and delivery assurance.
- Ensure contractual, operational and financial commitments are achieved.
- Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and programme sponsors.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams across project, technical and operational functions.
- Identify, manage and mitigate programme risks and dependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery effectiveness.
- Support commercial discussions and identify opportunities for additional services where appropriate.
- Champion delivery best practice and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Proven experience leading large-scale programmes within complex environments.
- Strong background in delivery leadership, programme management or service delivery.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders across client and supplier organisations.
- Demonstrable experience owning programme risks, governance and delivery performance.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience delivering against contractual commitments.
- Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
- Experience working within Public Sector, Government, Health, Defence or regulated environments would be highly desirable.
