Our client is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician (Electrically Biased) to join their world-class manufacturing site in Northumberland. In this role, you will work primarily on a three-shift pattern and be responsible for providing technical support to high-speed packaging lines.

You will ensure compliance with all relevant Safety and Quality standards, as well as global and site policies and procedures, all of which are subject to external regulatory inspection. This is an exciting time to join their growing team, offering the opportunity to maintain, calibrate, and repair equipment within designated areas to meet production priorities and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, plan, perform, and document all maintenance activities to cGMP and Safety standards, using both paper-based records and computerised maintenance management systems (SAP) and other relevant platforms.
  • Carry out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in line with procedural documentation.
  • Perform fault-finding on packaging equipment, including automated systems such as PC/PLC/HMI/Motor Drives and networks.
  • Diagnose faults, organise internal/external resources, source parts, and resolve issues to meet production requirements.
  • Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities relating to Safety, cGMP, and Productivity.
  • Support the installation and validation of new equipment and tooling.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • HNC in Electrical or Electronic discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in an Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience within the pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-skilled capacity.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft programmes.
