Commercial Operations Manager 9-Month Fixed Term Contract π Manchester (Hybrid Working) π° Β£45,000 - Β£55,000 + Bonus The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Operations Manager to join a market-leading organisation on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in the development of a newly created Commercial Operations function, helping to build and enhance commercial data analysis capability across multiple markets, products and fuel types. Working at the intersection of commercial strategy, operations and data analytics, you will lead a small team responsible for transforming complex commercial data into actionable insights that support decision-making, improve performance and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a newly established Commercial Operations team, creating a high-performance and customer-focused culture. Drive the development of commercial reporting, analytics and performance monitoring across multiple markets and product lines. Translate complex commercial and operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs and reporting frameworks to support business performance. Identify trends, opportunities and risks through detailed commercial analysis. Support strategic decision-making through robust data modelling and forecasting. Work closely with commercial, sales, operations, finance and leadership teams to improve visibility and performance management. Review and optimise existing processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency. Ensure data integrity and governance standards are maintained across reporting activities. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercial performance and operational effectiveness. Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership teams. You are a commercially focused leader who combines strong analytical capability with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the business. You enjoy working with data but are equally comfortable communicating insights, driving change and leading teams. Essential Experience Previous experience in Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics, Business Performance, Revenue Operations or a similar function. Experience leading or developing teams. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets. Experience developing KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting frameworks. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels. Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, finance, operational and leadership teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to prioritise competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Desirable Experience Experience within energy, fuels, commodities, manufacturing, logistics or other multi-market environments. Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms. Experience building or developing new teams, processes or reporting capabilities.
