We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Analyst to join a fast-paced Quality Control Microbiology Laboratory supporting a leading manufacturer within the food, nutrition, and FMCG sector.

This role is ideal for a science graduate or experienced laboratory professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated environment where quality, food safety, and continuous improvement are at the heart of operations.

As part of the Quality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring testing activities are completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with GMP, GLP, and laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine microbiological testing in accordance with approved SOPs, GMP, and GLP requirements.
  • Support daily laboratory operations and ensure testing schedules are met.

• Maintain key performance indicators, including

  • Right First Time (RFT)
  • On Time In Full (OTIF)
  • Complete training and competency assessments for routine analysis methods.
  • Review and verify laboratory data to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support investigations, including Out of Specification (OOS) processes where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and laboratory process enhancement projects.
  • Assist with the validation and introduction of new methods and laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping standards and support rota requirements.
  • Manage assigned equipment and testing methods.
  • Order and receive laboratory consumables.
  • Update SOPs and related documentation when required.
  • Implement assigned corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience within a Pharmaceutical, Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or Quality Control laboratory environment.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory compliance, GMP, GLP, and quality systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Experience handling food ingredients and dry powder products.
  • Analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and risk management principles.
