We are seeking a Lab Administrator to join a pioneering Fundamental AI Research Lab, supporting world‑leading academics, researchers, and partners working at the forefront of artificial intelligence. About the Role
As Lab Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of lab activities. You will work closely with senior leadership, researchers, and professional services teams while supporting events, communications, and inclusive initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide high‑quality administrative support to lab leadership and operations teams
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, and documentation
- Maintain accurate records of staff, students, and visitors
- Support procurement, expenses, and financial processes
- Meetings, Events & Engagement
- Organise and support meetings, workshops, and high‑profile events
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow‑up actions
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external stakeholders
- Support delivery of committees, governance boards, and large‑scale events
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)
- Assist with EDI initiatives, resources, and activities
- Support inclusive working practices across the lab
- Contribute to data collection and reporting on EDI efforts
- Communications & Information Management
- Support internal and external communications (webpages, newsletters, mailing lists)
- Assist in preparing materials showcasing the lab’s work and impact
- Act as a first point of contact for enquiries
About You
You will be a highly organised and adaptable professional with:
- Experience in administration within a fast‑paced environment
- Strong event coordination and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
