We are partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Research Associate within their Discovery, Frontier Biology team in Cambridge. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge oncology drug discovery, working within a highly collaborative and innovative scientific environment.
The Role
As a Research Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality bench-based research and in vitro assays, helping advance early-stage discovery programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and execute laboratory experiments to support discovery projects
- Design, develop, and conduct a range of in vitro assays
- Analyse experimental data, perform statistical analysis, and communicate findings effectively
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records and documentation
- Present data at internal meetings and contribute to team discussions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including biology and chemistry functions
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory and data integrity standards
About You
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in cell culture and tissue handling techniques
- Knowledge of oncology drug discovery and molecular biology (DNA, RNA, protein techniques)
- Proven ability to develop and execute in vitro assays
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Education
- Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline
- Ideally 2+ years of industry lab experience
Working Environment
- Fully on-site role in Cambridge (5 days per week)
