Business Development SupportCoordinator - Galen - Day Shift

CPL have partnered with ALMAC Group to recruit for a Distribution Operator to join their team on a temporary, 6-month temp maternity cover.

Pay Rate - Β£30k - Β£35k

Location - ALMAC Global Headquarters, Craigavon

Benefits - 34 days holiday per annum

Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Flexi - Day Shift - 08:00/09:00 am - 4:00/05:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

This is a great opportunity to join a privately-owned, global pharmaceutical company in an

important role that has responsibility for supporting a range of activities within the business

development department. The company is looking for a commercially aware individual with

the ability to perform a broad range of business skills, including market analysis,

development of marketing plans and project management. Based from our Global head

office in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, this role will report to the Business Development

Project Manager, but will support both licensing and development activities in relation to new

product opportunities, as well as working with our established base of partners around the

world. It is expected that the role will require a high level of communication and cooperation

internally with personnel in the commercial, logistics, marketing, finance, legal and regulatory

departments to deliver success.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to support the commercial evaluation of new product opportunities, identification of target out-licensing markets and development/review of commercialisation plans for Galen's business partners
  • Support the development of marketing plans for allocated in-licensed products in line with market potential, company capabilities and contractual obligations
  • Identify and review companies, products and markets as potential future partners or business opportunities based on specific criteria aligned with the overall company strategy
  • Responsibility for maintaining the business development database of key contacts, new product opportunities under evaluation and partner management information, including contractual obligations
  • Supporting the management of business development projects, including scheduling and monitoring of progress against agreed timelines and other key performance indicators
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments within Galen and across the Almac Group to ensure support for business development activities is delivered in a timely fashion
  • Attend and/or provide support for relevant national and international meetings/congresses to develop knowledge and expertise in best practice for Business Development & Licensing
  • Act to the highest ethical standards; fully understand and be compliant with company SOPs
  • Other special projects and duties as requested or assigned.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Either a relevant life science/business degree (or above), or alternative degree combined with experience working within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Relevant experience in market/data analysis, customer service or project management
  • Full driving licence.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in marketing, market/data analysis, project management or customer service
  • Demonstrates good commercial acumen and track record of achieving targets and/or deadlines
