An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering environment. This role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximise safety, quality, and delivery while minimising production costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for sub-assemblies and final product builds
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Introduce and maintain best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Develop ergonomic processes aligned with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Support production through active participation in cross-functional teams
- Lead new product introduction activities including design for manufacture (DFM) reviews
- Establish manufacturing processes and support production launches
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing systems and procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material management, and industrial engineering
- Experience in a similar manufacturing engineer role
- Computer literate with good technical capability
