An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering environment. This role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximise safety, quality, and delivery while minimising production costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for sub-assemblies and final product builds
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Introduce and maintain best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Develop ergonomic processes aligned with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Support production through active participation in cross-functional teams
  • Lead new product introduction activities including design for manufacture (DFM) reviews
  • Establish manufacturing processes and support production launches
  • Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing systems and procedures

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material management, and industrial engineering
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing engineer role
  • Computer literate with good technical capability
